Charles Troy Presents
Wed, March 6 1:30 pm
George and Ira Gershwin worked together only 13 years before George’s early death in 1937. But they sure packed in a lot! In 1924, their breakthrough year, George debuted “Rhapsody in Blue” in February; in December, they conquered Broadway with their first hit show, “Lady, Be Good!”. We’ll follow their string of smashes — “Oh, Kay!”, “Funny Face” “Girl Crazy” and more — through the rest of their dizzying decade. With special guest 2018 Skokie Idol winner Barb Smith.
